Construction of Bureau of Trade, Industry & Urban Development of Oromia Regional State - Oromia Regional State Adama Project Office

1. The Oromia Regional State has allocated a budget towards the cost of the construction of the Bureau of Trade, Industry & Urban Development of Oromia Regional State at Adama. The Oromia Regional State Adama Project Office, which is responsible for the execution of the project, now invites wax-sealed bids from Contractors GC-1 or BC-1 for the construction of Bureau of Trade, Industry & Urban Development of Oromia Regional State at Adama. The construction period is 24 months.

2. A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders from MH Engineering PLC Consulting Engineers & Architects starting February 2, 2005 and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 3,000 (Three Thousand Birr).

5. The Offer envelopes shall be submitted as follows:

6. The Qualification envelopes shall be submitted as follows:

The envelopes shall then be sealed in an outer envelope marked “Qualification Document for Bureau of Trade, Industry & Urban Development of Oromia Regional State at Adama”.

7. Qualification envelopes of bidders shall be opened in the  presence of bidders /representatives who choose to attend on March 1, 2005 at 2:45 P.M. at Oromia Regional State, Adama Project Office, P.O.Box 20014/1000 , Tel. 53 62 25/53 60 02, Finfinne.

8. Offer envelopes of bidders who pass the qualification criteria shall be opened in the presence of bidders/representatives who choose to attend on March 14, 2005 at 2:30 P.M. at the address given above. (7).  Bidding document

9. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of 1% of the bid amount but not more than a maximum of Birr 100,000 in the form specified in the bidding document.

Road Maintenance - Ethiopian Roads Authority

Notice of Invitation to Contractors for the Routine Term Maintenance
(Package -1: Sodo Section)

1. As part of the plan to meet an increasing program of care and maintenance to the country’s expanding federal road network, the Ethiopian Roads Authority intends extending its capacity by letting contract. To this end, the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia through the Road Fund Administration Office has allocated sufficient budget for the Routine Term Maintenance (Package -1: Sodo Section).

2. The Sodo Section network is consisting of the following  roads:

1.  Sodo- Alaba                                  68.0 km (Paved Road)

2.  Sodo- Waka                                   97.5 km (Unpaved Road)

3.  Sodo- Mirab Abaya                       71.5 km (Paved Road)

4.  Mirab Abaya- Arab Minch            53.2 km (Paved Road)

5.  Arba Minch ? Wazeka                   36.3 km (Unpaved Road)

6.  Sodo- Selam Ber                            62.1 km (Unpaved Road)

7.  Selam Ber- Sawla                           74.6 km (Unpaved Road)

3. The Term Maintenance Contract is for a period of two years with a possible extension of one year based on performance of the Contractor.

4. The Ethiopian Roads Authority now invites all local contractors of category GC-3 and above registered at the Ministry of Infrastructure under the prevailing Finance Regulation issued by the Council of Ministers for the above-mentioned project.

5. Contractors should renew their registration License at least for 1996 Ethiopian Calendar year.

6.
