Supply of office equipment - Urban Development Capacity Office

Re-Invitation

1. This invitation for bids follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in Development Business issue No. 587 Volume 25 of July 31st, 2005.

2. The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a credit from the International Development Association towards the cost of Capacity Building for Decentralized Service Delivery Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payment under contract for the supply of various office and cartographic equipment for establishing Regional Planning Units in Amhara, Oromia, South and Tigray Regional State, that would enable them to have a fully fledged planning institution fro urban development planning enable them to have a fully fledged planning institution for urban development planning and implementation activities, fro which this invitation for bids is issued.

3. The Urban Development Capacity Office (UDCBO), of the Ministry of Federal Affairs,  now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of the following office equipment:

4. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive bidding procedures specified in he World Bank’s guidelines: Procurement under IBRD loans and IDA credits, and is open to all local bidders. Bidders not giving a technically responsive offer for at least 80% of the item in a lot will be treated as incomplete and rejected as non-responsive unless no complete bid is received for the lot in which case the purchaser will evaluate and award the contract (s) for each item in a lot.

5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding document at UDCBO, P.O. Box 3040, Tel. 66 88 07/66 13 20, Fax No. 65 22 42, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Monday to Friday during Office Hours (8:00 A.M.-12:00 noon, 1:00 P.M. local time).

6. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to address above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 100 (One Hundred Birr) or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency in the form of cash or casher’s check. The bid document may be mailed to overseas bidders upon payment of a fee of additional Eth. Birr 100 (One Hundred Birr).

7. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or below 2:00 P.M. on July 29, 2005. And must be accompanied by a bid security of not less than 2% (Two percent) of the total bid value.

8. Bids shall be opened in the presence of bidders or their authorized representatives who choose to attend at 2:00 P.M. on July 29, 2005 in the conference room of the UDCBO.

Printing of 48 course materials - Ethiopian Civil Service College

1. The Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) toward the cost of Distance Learning Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit t to payments under the contract for which this invitation for bids is issued.

2. The Ethiopian Civil Service College (ECSC) now invites sealed bids from interested eligible bidders for the printing of 48 course materials whose copies are provided in the biding documents.

3. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Ethiopian Civil Service College and inspect the bidding document at the address given below from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. local time.

4. A completes ser of biding document in English may be purchased by any interested bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 50 (Fifty Birr Only).

5. Interested eligible bidders are required to submit copied of relevant valid trade license, registration certificate and VAT certificate to supply the goods required. Bidding will be conducted through national completive bidding.

6. Interested eligible bidders should provide an offer for all the items in the tender. Incomplete or partial offer are unacceptable.

7. Interested eligible bidders are required to accompany their bids by a bid security of Birr 40, 000 in the form of cash, certified cheque or a bank guarantee. In the event prospective bidders wish to submit the bid security in the form of cash or certified cheque, it is required that the bidders deposit the cash or the certified cheque to the Finance Division of the College and attach only the copy of the cash or cheque receipt to their bids.

8. Bids must be delivered to the address below or alternatively be deposited in a box prepared for this purpose in Room No. 128 on or before 27th June 2005, 2:00 P.M. local time.

1. Ethiopian Telecommunications Corporation (ETC) intended to apply part of its own fund to payments under the contract for the Procurement of DTH Receiver (Digital Satellite Receiver), C-Band LNB and RG-6 Cables and Connections.

2. Ethiopian Telecommunication Corporation (ETC) invites all interested and eligible bidders by this International Competitive Bid for the procurement of DTH Receiver (Digital Satellite Receivers), C-Band LNB and RG-6 Cables and Connectors (TF/15/2005). The tender remains floating from June 2, 2005 to July 14, 2005.

3. Bid document can be obtained from ETC’s Head Office, Room No.201 during Office hours upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 100.00 (Birr One Hundred only).

4. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of Birr 10,000 (Birr Ten Thousand only).

4.1 The bid bond shall be furnished in one of the following forms:
