Procurement of Voucher Card - Ethiopian Telecommunications Corporation

1.      Ethiopian Telecommunications Corporation (ETC) intended to apply part of its own fund to payments under the contract for the Procurement of Voucher Card.

2.      Ethiopian Telecommunication Corporation (ETC) now invites all interested and eligible bidders by this International Competitive Bid for the procurement of Procurement of Voucher Card (TF/22/2005). The tender remains floating from September 2, 2005 to October 13, 2005.

3.      Bid document can be obtained from ETC’s Head Office, Room No.201 during Office hours upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 200.00 (Birr Two Hundred only).

4.      All bids must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of Birr 100,000 (Birr One Hundred Thousand only).

4.1   The bid bond shall be furnished in one of the following forms:

a)      Cash

b)      Certified Cheque/CPO issued by a recognized domestic bank or

c)      Bond issued by and/or confirmed through a recognized domestic bank.

4.2   The Bank that issues the bond as per 4.1 (c) here above shall unequivocally guarantee to pay the purchaser (ETC) immediately upon the first written demand of payment. The Purchaser’s written demand of payment shall not be subject to any condition whatsoever.

4.3   The bond issuing bank shall clearly incorporate the content stated under item 4.2 here above on the issued bond.

5.      Sealed bond marked as: “Tender for Procurement of Procurement of Voucher Card ” and addressed to:

Construction, reparation, and completion of Wajira Community Rural Water Supply Project - CARE-Ethiopia

1.      CARE ETHIOPIA has received a budget from OFDA towards the cost of construction of Wajira Community Rural Water Supply Project which is located at Wajira Area, Korfachelea Woreda, and East Haraghe of Oromia Regional State. It is intended that part of this budget will be applied to eligible payments under the construct for construction of springs development, filter plant, 1.7 km transmission main, 11.7 km distribution network, reservoirs, 9 water points, 8 cloth washing basins and 2 cattle troughs.

2.      CARE INTERNATIONAL IN ETHIOPIA invites sealed bids form eligible bidders for furnishing the necessary labour, materials and equipment the construction, reparation, and completion of Wajira Community Rural Water Supply Project.

1.      On behalf of the Beneficiary Comminutes of Mekelle Town, Water  Resources Development Commission of the Tigray National Regional State has allocated budget for:

Lot -1 Drilling, Construction & Completion of four deep wells and group pumping test at 6 wells around Mekelle area.

Supply of Medical Equipment - Tigray National Regional State Health Bureau

1.      The Tigray National Regional State Health Bureau has intended to purchase medical equipment financed by the fund received from the Global Fund and the Ireland Government aid. And intends to apply part of the proceeds of this budget to payment under the contact for the procurement of medical equipment.

2.      The Tigray Regional Health Bureau now invites sealed bids form eligible bidders for the supply of:

3.      Bidders should note that items are grouped in to one lot. Bids will be evaluated and contract awarded on a lot basis.

Bidders must offer a technically responsive bid for at lest 90% acceptable items of the lot for their bid to be complete. Bidders not offering a technically responsive bid for at least 90% acceptable items in the lot will rejected as non-responsive. if none of the bidders offers at least 90% acceptable items for the lot, then those bidders with less than 90% acceptable items will be considered for an item-by-item evaluation.

4.      Bidding will be conducted through the national completive bidding procedures specified in the Government Procurement Guidelines. Product registration certificate from Drug Administration & Control Authority (DACA) will be taken as pre-qualifying criteria. Local Importers/Wholesalers and local manufactures shall provide renewed trade license, Renewed Wholesale/Importer Registration Certificate, latter from Inland Revenue Administration, Registration Certificate from MOFED and shall indicate the VAT number.

5.      Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information form and inspect the bidding documents at the Office of Tigray Regional Health Bureau, Department of Logistics, Procurement & Supply Division, No. 11, P.O.
