University Electricity Access Program - Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation

The Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation, (EEPCo) (hereinafter referred to as the Corporation) issues this notice of invitation to tender as part of University Electricity Access program:

For design, manufacture, test, supply, inland and sea transportation, deliver to site of erection, port and customs clearances, insurance form warehouse, erection, test and commissioning of 132 kV and 66 kV compact Air insulated switch gear, power transformers, 33 kV GIS switchboards and 15 kV switchboards and civil work for the following substation:

Substation extension at Gefersa, Wolisso, Muger, Awash 7-Kilo, Alemaya and Chelenko and construction.

Construction of new substations at Assebe Teferi, Nura Era.

The Project will be financed by the Government of Ethiopia.

Eligible companies are invited for Contract SE-1 “Substation Extension”

Only Tenders who have designed, manufactured, supplied, erected, and commissioned substations at 132 kV voltage level or above will be considered qualified.

The Corporation reserves the right to rights to post qualify the tender offering the lowest evaluated tender.

The tender documents can be collected against a non-refundable payment of Ethiopia Birr 500 (Five Hundred Ethiopian Birr).

Water Supply and Sanitation Project - Ministry of Water Resources

1. This Specific Procurement Notice follows the General Procurement Notice for this project, which appeared in Development Business Issue No. 592 dated 16 October 2005.

2. The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a loan form the African Development Fund in the amount of UA 19.89 million towards the cost of Harar Water Supply and Sanitation Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds of the loan to cover eligible payments under the contract for the supply of Pipes and Fittings. Bidding is open to all bidders form eligible member countries as defined in the ADB’s Rules of Procedure for the Procurement of Good and Works.

3. The Ministry of Water Resources now invites sealed bids form prospective bidders for supply of Pipes and Fittings in Ductile Cast Iron (DCI), Galvanized Steel (GS) and uPVC, and Hydraulic Accessories and Maintenance Equipment in one Lot.

Procurement Stationary and Photovoltic Batteries - Ethiopian Telecommunications Corporation

1. Ethiopian Telecommunications Corporation (ETC) intended to apply part of its own fund to payments under the contract for the Procurement Stationary and Photovoltic Batteries

2. Ethiopian Telecommunication Corporation (ETC) now invites all interested and eligible bidders by this International Competitive Bid for the Procurement Stationary and Photovoltic Batteries (TF/27/2005). The tender remains floating from September 30, 2005 to November 15, 2005.

3. Bid document can be obtained from ETC’s Head Office, Room No.201 during Office hours upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 200.00 (Birr Two Hundred only).

4. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of Birr 40,000 (Birr Forty Thousand only).

4.1 The bid bond shall be furnished in one of the following forms:

b) Certified Cheque/CPO issued by a recognized domestic bank or

The National Petroleum Reserve Depots Administration (NPRDA) invites sealed bids form any interested bidder for the supply of:

A complete set of bidding documents prepared in the English language may be obtained by any interested bidder, upon payment in cash, a non-refundable fee of Birr 100 (One Hundred Birr Only) for each LOT form the Administration’s Office located at Berhe G/Libanos Building, Pushkin Street, Room No. 4 during working hours (8:00 A.M.-Noon & 1:00 P.M.-5:00 P.M.) in addition to the hard copy of the bidding document, bidders have the option to take the biding documents in soft copy in diskettes. But they are required to bring their own floppies for the purpose.

Any bidder shall furnish, as part of its bid, a bid security in the sum of 100,000; 100,000; 15,000; 8,000; & 5;000 Ethiopian Birr for LOT 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5, respectively which shall be valid for 30 days beyond in the currency of the bid but shall be equivalent to that stated above and shall be in CPO or a Bank guarantee or Bank certificate cheque issued by a recognized bank established in Ethiopia.

Local bidders and Foreign Bidders who have local agents in Ethiopia are required to submit supplier registration certificate issued form the Ministry of Finance & Economic Development, renewed trade license, recommendation form the Inland Revenue Authority and VAT registration certificate in order to participate in the Bid. Foreign bidders who do not have agents in Ethiopia are required to submit Company registration certificate issued from appropriate offices in their country.

Important of fertilizer - National Bank of Ethiopia

The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has allocated foreign currency for the important of fertilizer.

The National Bank of Ethiopia hereby invites all interested eligible importers to submit their offers for the importation of 75,000+ 15% DAP fertilizer in three lots.

Detailed guidelines and standard bid documents can be collected against payment of non-refundable Birr 400.00 or USD 50.00 form the Foreign Exchange Statistics and Monitoring Department, National Bank of Ethiopia, located in the new building NBE, first floor.

All eligible importers must submit unconditional proof of financial capability for the importation of the fertilizer. Failure to submit this financial proof will lead to an automatic rejection.

All bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes marked “Application for Foreign Exchange Fertilizer Facility IFB No. NBE/FEFF/ICB/57/2005″ and addressed to NBE, Foreign Exchange Fertilizer Facility Committee, Addis Ababa.

All bids mist be accompanied by a 2% bid bond of the import value in an acceptable form such as: CPO, or Bank Guarantee only and must be submitted on or before 2:00 P.M. October 28, 2005 which is the closing and opening date of the tender.
