Procurement of Satellite DVB Modulator - Ethiopian Telecommunications Corporation

1. Ethiopian Telecommunications Corporation (ETC) intended to apply part of its own fund to payment under the contract for the procurement of Satellite DVB Modulator.

2. Ethiopian Telecommunications Corporation (ETC) invites all interested and eligible bidders by this International Competitive Bid (ICB) for the procurement of Satellite DVB Modulator. The tender remains floating from February 27, 2006 to April 11, 2006.

3. Bid documents can be obtained from ETC’s Head Office, Room No. 201 during office hours upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 200 (Birr Two Hundred only).

4. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of Birr 26,000 (Twenty Six Thousand Birr only).

4.1 The bid bond shall be furnished in one of the following forms:

a) Cash

b) Certified Cheque/CPO issued by a recognized domestic bank or

c) Bond issued by and/or confirmed through a recognized domestic bank

4.2 The Bank that issues the bond as per 4.1. (c) here above shall unequivocally guarantee to pay the purchase (ETC) immediately upon the first written demand of payment. The Purchaser’s written demand of payment shall not be subject to any condition whatsoever.

4.3 The bond issued bank shall clearly incorporate the content stated under item 4.2 here above on the issued bond.

The Addis Ababa University College of Commerce  invites all interested and eligible bidders for the construction of Toilet Room extension and Lecture Hall general maintenance. Bidders should be registered as contractor with the Ministry of Finance and Economic development. A complete set of bidding documents can be obtained from the College?s Office, Room No. 39 during office hours upon payment of a non -refundable Birr 100 (One Hundred Birr) starting from 27th February 2006. Bidders at level of BC 7/GC 7 and above are required to submit the copies of renewed construction license for FEY 1998 and VAT registration certificate to the office where they will collect bid document.

Bidders shall furnish as part of their bid, a bid bond in the amount of Birr 5,000 (Birr Five Thousand).

The bid-bond must be only in CPO (Cash Payment Order) from recognized bank.

Bidders should submit their offer in a wax-sealed both original and copy clearly marked on the College Room 44 on or before 2:00 P.M. on  March 23, 2006. The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has allocated budget towards the cost of Health Sector Development Programme (HSDP) and intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments under the contract for the Renovation and Expansion of Negelle Borena District Hospital contract identification Number NCB/Gov/OHB/DH02/98. Bidding is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the guidelines.

2. The Oromia Regional Health Bureau invites sealed bids from eligible bidders to all national contacts of class GC/BC 3 and above and regularly registered with the Ministry of Works and Urban Development and who have renewed their license for the current fiscal year and have VAT registration certificate; for the Renovation and Expansion of Negelle Borena District Hospital (Guji zone).

3. Biding documents (and additional copies) may be purchased from Oromia Regional Health Bureau, Engineering Team Room No. 63, Addis Ababa for a non-refundable fee of Birr 1100 (One Thousand One Hundred Birr only) or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency commencing from 28 February 2006 to 28 March 2006. 4. Bids shall be valid for a period of 120 days after bid opening day must be accompanied by bid security of at least 1% of the project cost (Not more than Birr 100,000) or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency in a from of CPO, Unconditional insurance bonds, bank guarantee or in cash, and shall be delivered to Oromia Regional Health Bureau on or before 20th March 2006, at 2:00 P.M. in the afternoon at which time the bid will be opened in the presence of the bidders who wish to attend.

5. Completion time for the construction work shall be 600 calendar days.
