With reference to the advertisement for the above tender published as amendment in this paper on December 16^th 2006 and 17^th 2006 the following amendments are hereby issued.

EXTENSION OF BID OPENING AND CLOSING

Reference is made to the captioned tender number for the supply and implementation of Integrated Financial Management System (IFMS) announced in The Ethiopian Herald VOL. LXIII-NO.058 and 061 dated November 17 and 21, 2006 respectively.

We hereby announce to all prospective bidders that the captioned Tender Number bid closing and opening date extended up to February 16, 2007 (Friday) other terms and conditions unchanged.

1.      The Amhara National Regional State Technical and Vocational Education and Training Promotion Agency invites all eligible bidders to submit sealed bids for the supply of procurement of LAPIDARY MACHINES EQUIPMENT and MATERIALS for 14 Training Institutes and Colleges in two packages.

2.      Bidders both International or local should provide copies of relevant and valid documents. Local bidders need to submit a license valid for the year 2006/2007 VAT and TIN registration certificate and evidence indicating that the bidder has performed tax paying obligations from Federal or Regional Inland Revenue.

3.      Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from ANRS technical and Vocational Education and Training promotion Agency and inspect the bidding document at the address given below from Monday to Friday on working hours.

4.      A complete set of bidding document may be purchased by interested bidder on submission of a written application together with document indicated on number 2 above upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Eth. Birr 100 or its equivalent in freely convertible currency to the Finance services of Education Bureau in cash CPO or Cheque.

5.      Bidding will be conducted through ICB (International Competitive Bidding) procedure and is open to all eligible bidders. Bid evaluation and award of contract shall be on package bases. Therefore, bidders have the option to bid for one or two packages. The delivery places or sites of goods or equipment are 14 Training institutes and colleges found in the Region.

6.      Bids shall be valid for a period of 90 days after bid opening and must be accompanied by a bid security of 2% of the total bid price in the form of Certified cheque, CPO or a bank guarantee and must be delivered with the bid document together with copies of documents indicated on number 2 above to the address given below on or before 2:00 P.M. 15 February 2007.

7.      Bids shall be opened in the presence of bidders or their representatives who choose to attend at 2:30 P.M. 15 February 2007 at the conference room of Amhara National Regional state education Bureau. Late bids will be rejected.

8.      The ANRS Technical and Vocational Education and Training promotion Agency reserve the right to accept or reject all or part of the bids.

1.       The Ethiopian Insurance Corporation (EIC), the Employer for the works, invites prospective bidders of category GC/BC, class 1 with license valid for the year 1999 Eth. C. to fill a prequalification document for furnishing the necessary labor, material equipment and services for the construction of ?Life house project? comprising a G+12 Tower, a G+4 Mall and a G+4 Multi story car park that constitute the envisaged project to be constructed opposite to the Ambassador Theatre in Addis Ababa.

2.       The construction of the building will be made of in-situ concrete frame structure (beam, column and slab) and a fa?e of hollow concrete blocks, curtain wall and concrete shear walls. The building is to be conveniently constructed on a substructure of mat foundation as well as isolated and continuous footing foundations.

5.      After the evaluation of the prequalification document is completed, the Client shall notify those Applicants whose proposal has not met the requirements specified in the prequalification document or were considered non responsive. The Client shall simultaneously notify the Applicants that are found eligible and qualified.
