Ethiopian Telecommunications Corporation Jijiga Region invites sealed bid from eligible bidder for the procurement of Office Equipment.

1. The Tender remains floating from June 3, 2008 until June 25, 2008. Bid documents can be obtained form ETC?s Legehar Building 3rd floor Office Room No. 332 (Addis Ababa) during office hours upon payment of non-refundable fee of Birr 20 (Twenty Birr). Bidders should submit all their renewed original license & VAT certificate with copies (if they are registered) when they come to obtain the bid documents.

2. Bidders shall furnish as part of their bid, security of Birr 3,000 (Birr Three Thousand).

3. The bid bond must be in either of the following form:

5. Bidders should prepare their offer in a wax-sealed envelope and deposit in the box situated at 3rd floor Room No. 320 on or before June 25, 2008 at 5:00 P.M.

6. Bids will be opened in the presence of interested bidder or their representatives at ETC (Fixed line) Legehar Building 4th floor Room No. 420 on June 26, 2008  at 4:00 P.M.

7. Partial bidding is allowed.

1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in Development Business on March 28 and April 1, 2008.

2. The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a grant from the International Development Association and other Donors toward the cost of Protection of Basic Services, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant to payments under the Contract for Procurement of Medical Equipment for Health Posts.

3. The Ministry of Health now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the supply of Medical Equipment to The Federal Ministry of Health-Addis Ababa, Oromia Health Bureau Addis Ababa, Southern Nations Nationalities & Peoples Health Bureau-Mekelle under the following three Lots. Bidders have the option to bid for one or more lots

4. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Ban?s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders form Eligible Source as defined in the Guidelines.

A margin of preference for certain goods manufactured domestically shall be applied. Additional details are provided in the Bidding Documents.

7. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written Application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ethiopian Birr 200.00 (Two Hundred Birr) or equivalent in a freely convertible currency. 1. The Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has allocated budget towards the cost of Endaselassie- Dejena-Dasha Road Project, Contract 3: Dansha-Dejena-Adirement and intends to apply part of the proceeds to eligible payments for this Contract.

2. The Ethiopian Roads Authority has now invites bidders to submit sealed bids for providing the necessary labour, material and equipment for the construction of Endaselassie ?Dejena-Dansha Road Project, Contract 3: Dansha-Dejena-Adirement.

3. Interested bidders shall submit the following evidence;

a) In the case of Ethiopian bidders only, its Certificate of registration form Ministry of Works and Urban Development with Category GC-1 or RC-1 valid for 2000 EFY.

b) In case of bidders other than Ethiopian; valid relevant professional practice certificate.

4. The road project is located in Northern Part of Ethiopia in the Tigray Regional state and the work under this project consists of construction of 98 km length of the road to DS4 Standard of Asphalt Concrete Surface. The construction period is 1096 calendar days.
