1. The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopian has received a loan from African Development Fund towards the cost of Primary Health Care Service Project and intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments under the Contract identification No. ADB/NCB/OHB/01/96 for the Procurement of Furniture for 56 Health Posts under two lots in zones and woredas of Oromia Regional Government listed below. Bid is opened to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the ADB’s Rules of Procedures for the Procurement of Goods and Works.

2. The Oromia Regional Government Health Bureau invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Supply of furniture for the Health Posts mentioned above. Bidders have the option to bid for anyone or more lots. Bidders should have renewed trade license for 1996 E.C. or 2003/2004 & Suppliers list registration certificate from Ministry of Finance &Economic Development (MOFED), while purchasing this tender document.

3. Interested eligible  bidders may obtain  further  information and  inspect bidding documents from the  Oromia Regional Government Health Bureau, Administration & Finance Department Office No. 13, P.O. Box 24341, Tel. 51 08 08/53 01 71/ 15 46 02, Fax 53 36 29 Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

4. A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the above and upon a payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 100 (One Hundred Birr only) for the two lots.

5. Bid must be delivered to the above office on or before 28/12/96 at 3:00 P.M. in the afternoon and must be accompanied by a bid security of not less than 2% of the bid amount from a reputable bank.

6. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidder’s or their representatives who choose to attend at Administration & Finance department office on 28/12/96 at 3:30 P.M. in the afternoon.

7. Bids shall be valid for a period of 120 days after Bids Closing date.

8. The provisions in the instruction to bidders and in the general conditions of the contract are the provisions of the African Development Bank Standard bidding document: Procurement of small goods.

9. The Oromia Health Bureau reserves the right to accept or reject any bid.

1. The Addis Ababa Water and Sewerage Authority invites bidders to participate in the tender for the supply of:

Lot I: Tyres & Inner Tubes

Lot II: Batteries & Battery clamps

Lot III: Fuel and Oil Filters

2. The bid documents shall be available from the same office against payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 100 during office hours upon presentation of registration certificate from the Federal Ministry of Finance, renewed trade license for the year & VAT registration certificate. Bidders can participate for any or all Lots.

3. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information at the office of A.A.W.S.A.’s Material Management Department, P.O. Box 1505, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Tel. 63 44 22, Fax (251-1) 55 37 93.

4. All bids must be accompanied by a bid bond of Birr 10,000 up to 50,000 in the form of a Bank Guarantee or Cashier’s payment Order (C.P.O) or Cash. Bid Bond in any other form shall be acceptable.

5. All bids must be deposited in the tender box prepared for this purpose on 9:00 A.M. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders and/or their official representatives who with to attend, on the same day August 31, 2004 at 10:00A.M. local time.

The Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.

Detailed review on organizational structure etc. - Oromia Water works Construction Enterprise

The Oromia Water works Construction Enterprise which has engaged in water well drilling and construction activities would like to invite all consulting firms to conduct:

? A detailed review on organizational structure set up,

? To develop manuals, rules & regulations for different functions of the Enterprise including HRD, Financial, Material and Technical Matters such as maintenance, Contract Administration, Drilling, Construction, Planning & Physical Inspection,

? Design clear process flow of all works & other indicated in the bid documents for customization of integrated and Automated Management system.

1. The bid is open to all competent, interested and eligible consultants.

2. The bid must be accompanied by a bid security of 1% of the bid price and the bid security should be furnished only in the form of CPO or bank guarantee.

3. Bidders should have a business license valid for the current year, copy of registration certificate from legally authorized body.

4. The bid closing and opening date shall be on August 26, 2004 at 12:00 A.M. local time and August 26, 2004 at 1:30 P.M. local time respectively, in the office of the General Manager.

5. Interested bidders can obtain further information and collect bid documents against the payment of non-refundable Birr 100 (One Hundred) during working hours at the office of Procurement & property Administration Department.

6. The OWWCE has the right fully or partially to reject the bid.
