The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a credit from the International Development Association toward the cost of Post-Secondary Education Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the Contract for the supply, delivery and installation of physiology and pathology laboratory equipment and chemicals.

2. The Haramaya University now re-invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the supply, delivery and installation of physiology and pathology laboratory equipment and chemicals.

Bids will be evaluated and contract (s) awarded for the taking into account, discounts offered, if any, in determining the lowest  evaluated cost which will be the basis for award of contract. However, bids not offering at least 90% of the items for each lot will be treated as incomplete and rejected as non-responsive unless no complete bid is received for each lot in which case the purchaser will evaluate and award the contract (s) for each item in the lots.

3. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures specified in the World Bank?s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Counties as defined in the Guidelines.

4.
