To: All Contractors of Category GC/BC Class 7 and above with license valid for the current fiscal year.

1. The ANRS the 20 Woreda Education Office now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the furnishing of the necessary labor, materials & equipment for the construction & completion of additional class room in the 20 new preparatory secondary schools. Therefore, interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from, and inspect the bidding documents at, the 20 Woreda Education Office listed below or at the ANRS Education Bureau, P.O. Box 764, Tel. 058 220 13 00/058 220 04 70, Bahir Dar.

2. The 20 Woreda Education office and the name of each preparatory secondary schools are listed below.

3. A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by any interested eligible bidders upon the submission of written application to the above mentioned Woreda Education office starting from January 31, 2006 and upon payment of non-refundable fee of Birr 100 (One Hundred Birr) for each set. Additional set of document may be purchased each at the same price at the same address.

4. The construction works shall be completed within a maximum of 100 calendar days.

5. All bids must be submitted based on the free market price and current basic materials price must be submitted attached with the bid document.

6. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security, in an acceptable from of 1% of the bid amount, and must be delivered to the above mentioned Woreda Education office on or before at 2:00 P.M. on February 20, 2006.

7. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders/representatives who choose to attend in the same date and place at 2:30 P.M.

8. Rejection Criteria: The Client will reject the bidders whose bid does not fulfill the following conditions.

Bidders should present currently renewed Trade License & Renewed Registration Certificate, VAT Registered Certificate and Tax payer Registered Certificated.

The original & copy of the bid shall be signed and sealed in all pages by the bidder.

Bidders should submit one original & one copy envelopes of the bid.

9. The employer reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
