1. The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) has received a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost Emergency Demobilization and Reintegration Project and intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payment under the Contract for the construction of Assela Physiotherapy and Orthopedic Center Additional works. Bidding is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credit.

2. The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, Emergency Demobilization and Reintegration Coordination Unit as the executing agency of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the construction of different site works of Assela Physiotherapy and Orthopedic Center.

National Contractors category GC/BC-7 and above are eligible to bid. Bidders are required to provide a valid trade license from the appropriate government body and proof of registration from the Ministry of Infrastructure for the current fiscal year.

For a non-refundable fee of Birr 200 (Two Hundred Birr) or its equivalent in a freely-convertible currency, for each set. Interested bidders may obtain further information at the same address.

4. Bids shall be valid for a period of 90 days after bid opening and must be accompanied by security of not less than 1% of the bid amount and shall be delivered to the above mentioned address on or before 10:00 A.M. on June 28, 2006 at which they will be opened in the presence of the bidders who wish to attend.
