Project Name: Health Post
1. The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a credit from the International Development Agency A (IDA) towards the cost of Ethiopia Multi-Sectoral HIV/AIDS Project and intends to apply part of the fund to cover eligible payments under the Contract Identification Number NCB/CW/SRHB/01-03/2004 for the Construction of four Health Posts under three packages, in different Zones of Somali Regional State listed below. Bidding is open to all bidders for eligible source countries as defined in the Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits.

2. The Somali Regional State Health Bureau has received a fund from Ethiopia Multi-Sectoral HIV/AIDS Project (EMSAP-HAPCO) and invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the construction of four Health Posts under three packages with supportive facilities, to National Contractors of category BC/GC 8 and above are eligible to bid. Bidders are required to provide a valid trade license from the appropriate government body and proof of registration from the Ministry of Infrastructure, for the current fiscal year.
3. Bidding documents (and additional copies) may be purchased at:- Somali Regional State Health Bureau, Room No. 15, Tel. (05) 75 28 44, Fax (05) 75 24 65 for a non-refundable fee of Birr 150 (One Hundred Fifty Ethiopian Birr ) for each package. Interested bidders may obtain further information at the same address.
4. Bid shall be valid for a period of 120 days (Hundred Twenty days) after the date of bid opening and must be accompanied by a bid security of not less than 2%of bid amount in a freely convertible currency and shall be delivered to Somali Regional State Health Bureau on or before September 20, 2004, 10:30 A.M. local time at which time the bid will be opened in the presence of the bidders or their representatives who wish to attend on the same date and place at 10:30 A.M. local time.
