To:  All Contractors of Category GC/BC Class 6 and above with license valid for the year

1. The D.D. Provisional Administration Road Authority invites wax-sealed bids from eligible bidders for furnishing the necessary labors, materials and equipment for the construction, reparation, and completion of Dechatu Retaining Wall (Part Two).

2. A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by any interested eligible bidder on the submission of a written application to D.D. Provisional Administration Road Authority Room no. 1 upon payment of birr 100 (One Hundred Birr only).  Additional sets of documents may be purchased each at the same price.

3. Bidders may obtain further information from, and inspect the bidding documents at D.D. Provisional Administration Road Authority, Tel No. 11 41 74, P.O. Box 1334.

4. Bids shall be valid for a period of 120 days after bid opening and all bids must be accompanied by a bid security, 1% of the bid amount in acceptable form of insurance/CPO. The bid security shall be valid for 30 days beyond the validity of the bid.  The bid must b e delivered to D.D. Provisional Administration Road Authority on or before 10:00 A.m. the 21^st day of February 2005.

5. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidder/representatives who choose to attend on 22^nd day of February 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at the office of D.D. Provisional Administration Road Authority.

6. The construction of the works shall be completed within maximum of 136 calendar days from the commencement of the work.

7. The Employer reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

NB:- Bidders are requested to fill all the necessary details in the schedule.  Not Providing the required information in accordance to the enclosed instruction to bidders may lead to disqualification.
