1. The Adama City Administration invites contractors of different Category for works mentioned below with license valid for the year 2005/6 and registered for VAT to submit wax-sealed bids for providing the necessary labour materials, equipment & any other necessary requirements for execution and completion of:

a) Asphalt road maintenance with category RC/GC-5 & above.

b) Ditch and culvert with category GC/BC-6 and above

2. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding document at the office of:

Adama City Administration, P.O. Box 34
Tel. 022 111 15 83, Adama (Oromia)

3. 3.   Each prospective bidder proposing to bid for this project must be eligible fulfilling
the requirements of the particular instruction of the project.

4. A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by any interested eligible bidder on the submission of a written application to the above address and payment of a non-refundable fee of 500 Birr for each set of document.

5. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security not less than 2% of the bid amount or a maximum of Birr 100,000.  The bid security shall be Payable on demand to the employer, and must be an irrevocable Letter of Credit, or Bank Guarantee, or Insurance Guarantee, or a Certified Payment Order (CPO) at the bidders option.

6. The bid along with the bid security must be submitted in wax-sealed envelopes with one original & one copy to the Adama City Administration Manager office on January 20, 2006 from 1:30 P.M. to 2:00 P.M.

7. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders or bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at Adama City Administration on the same date of submission at 2:30 P.M.
