FOR THE PARTIAL OR TOTAL ACQUISITION OF GOVERNMENT OWNED PUBLIC ENTERPRISES
Bid Notice No. 004/2002-2003
1. The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia currently owns 100% equity of the following companies.
2. The Government intends to sell at least 51% ownership of these companies to an investors ready and capable of operating and developing the companies.
3. The Ethiopian Privatization Agency (EPA), pursuant to the powers and duties vested in it by Article 19 of Proclamation No. 146/1998, hereby invites all prospective investors to submit bids for the partial or total acquisition of one or more of the following share companies.

3. Ethiopia Plastic S.Co.
4. Addis Ababa Tannery S.Co.
5. Ethiopia Tannery S.Co.
6. Combolcha Tannery S.Co.
7. Modjo Tannery S.Co.
8. Anbessa Shoe S.Co.
9. Tikur Abay Shoe S.Co.
10. Addis Garment S.Co.
11. Akaki Garment S.Co.
12. Gulele Garment S.Co.
13. Yerer Flour S.Co.
14. Tigray Flour S.Co.
4. Bid documents will be available in Room No. 606 of the Ethiopian Privatization Agency starting Monday, February 3, 2003 and interested bidders can obtain documents during working hours upon payment of non-refundable Birr 300.00 or the equivalent in U.S. dollars for each set of document.
5. Bidders shall submit bid bond in accordance with the instructions to bidders.
6. Bids shall be submitted in Wax-sealed envelopes on or before Tuesday, May 6, 2003, 5:00 P.M. Local time, addressed as follows:

7. The bid shall be opened on Wednesday, May 7, 2003 at 10:00A.M. local time in the Conference Room of the Ethiopian Privatization Agency, in the presence of bidders or their representatives.
8. The Agency reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
