TO: All Contractors of Category GC/BC 4 (Four), GC/BC 6 (Six) and above, with valid license for the current year.

I.                The Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia,
Ministry of Education invites eligible Contractors of Class 4 (Four), Class 6 (Six)
and above who would be financially or technically capable to furnish the necessary
material, labor and equipment to undertake construction and completion of
different projects.

Detail of  PROJECTS FOR BID.

II.         A complete set of bidding documents can be purchased as of Feb. 14,2003 on a
submission of a written application to construction design share company and
upon a payment of Birr located on 4^th column of the above table, additional sets
of documents may be purchased each at the same price.
 

III.       Bidders may obtain further information from, and inspect and acquire the bidding
document, at the Construction Design Share Company Studio 1.
 

IV.       All bids must be accompanied by a bid security, 1% of the bid amount recognized
financial institutions payable on first demand shall in the bidders option be in the
form of a certified check, irrevocable letter of credit, bank guarantee, certified
payment order (C.P.O.) or bond from insurance.
 

V.         Bids should be submitted in wax-sealed envelope before or on the closing date
located in the above table Thursday, March 13,2003 at 11:30 hours local time
at the following address: Construction Design Share Company, Block 8,
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
 

VI.       Bids will be opened on the date: located on the last column of the above table
Thursday, March 13,2003 at 14:30 hour?s local time at the same office in item V.
 

VII.     The employer reserves the right to reject any or all bids. – All bids must include
15% value added tax on the summary of price.- Bidders are instructed to fill,
sign and seal all the forms of the bid documents. Failure of this instruction is
automatic rejection.
