Bid Ethiopia

1.      The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) has allocated Foreign currency for the importation of mineral fertilizers.

2.      Accordingly, the National Bank of Ethiopia in its tender No. NBE/FEFF/TCB/56/2005 has invited all interested eligible importers to submit their offer for importation of 75,000 MT+15% UREA fertilizer (Grade 46% N in three lots).

3.      LUME-ADAMA FARMERS CO-OP UNION now in its own invites sealed bids form eligible bidders for the supply of 25,000 MT 15%+UREA (Grade 46% N) fertilizers in one lot.

4.      Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at the office of:

5.      A completed set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon payment of non-refundable fee of Birr 300 or equivalent in any freely convertible currency.

6.      Bids shall also be accompanied by overseas supply’s bid security equivalent of USD 1per MT in the form of Bank Guarantee and must be delivered to the above office on or before 10:00 A.M. on September 15, 2005.

7.      Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders/representatives who choose to attend at 2:30 P.M. on September 15, 2005 at the office of NBE. International Banking Operations Department, First Floor of Development Bank of Ethiopia premises.

8.      The UNION reserves the right to reject or accept any or all bids.
