TANTALUM CONCENTRATE FOR SALE

The Ethiopian Mineral Development Share Company (EMDSC) invites sealed bids from bidders for the purchase of 20:33 tons of Tantalum Concentrate with the Following assay result of Ta₂O₅:60.47%, Nb₂O₅: 13.38%, U₃O₈: 0.66%, TiO₂:0.19%, ThO₂:0.05 %, SnO₂:< 0.01%, Sb PPM <20.

Which are:

1. Weighed, sampled, stuffed and sealed into drums by Independent preshipment Inspector “ALEX STEWART TES BRETBY S.A (ptd) Ltd.” for under ref. No. 22743EE5 on February 7, 2005.

2. Assayed by Independent assayer ALFRED H. KNIGHT for under ref. No. 267878/W on Feb. 18, 2005.

3. Ready for shipment after Letter of Credit opening.

A complete set of bidding document may be obtained by any interested Bidders from the Share Company’s Head Office Commercial Department during office hours. Bidders residing outside Ethiopia can request by Fax or e-mail for the dispatch of the bid documents at the following   address:

Bids in sealed envelopes may be deposited in a box prepared for this purpose at the Commercial Department, the Share Company’s Head Office, or shall be sent by registered mail to the above Address so as  to reach  not later than March  28, 2005, 10:15 A.M. Addis Ababa time.

Bids directly received by tele, fax or cable shall be rejected.

The bids received shall be opened on March 28, 2005, 10:30 A.M. shall be opened on March   28, 2005, 10:30 A.M. Addis Ababa time at the conference hall of the Share Company in the presence of interested Bidders or their duly authorized representatives. The Share Company reserves the right to reject any or all of the bid.
