Bid Ethiopia

1. The Regional Liaison Office for Africa of the United Nations high Commissioner for Refugees would like to sell used/second-hand vehicles and interested bidders to submit their offer for each of the vehicles.

2. The vehicles should be viewed by interested bidders at Jijiga and Addis Ababa UNHCR workshop only during working hours from 10:00 A.M.-12:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M. starting form 01 upto 09 November 2005.

3. A compete set of bidding documents may be purchased by all interested person form: UNHCR/RLO, Addis Ababa, Bole Road, Woreda 17 Kebele 23 and Jijiga UNHCR Office form 01 upto 09 November 2005 upon payment of non-refundable fee of 10 Ethiopian Birr.

4. All bids must be submitted in sealed envelope, duly signed and accompanied by a bid security cash deposit of Birr 1,000 for each vehicle before or on 09 November 2005, at the Address specified in clause 3 above. The amount of Birr 1,000 is refundable for non-successful bidders.

5. Winners with the best offer will be notified within three weeks of the closing date.

6. The vehicles are sold on “as it is, where it is” basis.

7. UNHCR reserves right to reject any or all bids.

8. Payment is to be made on Bank Draft/COP before delivery.

9. The successful bidders should satisfy the government regulation regarding any import or sale taxes that may be imposed on the vehicle for change of ownership.
