Bid Ethiopia

Ministry of National Defense of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia through its
Central Procurement Organization /CPO/ invites all interested foreign eligible bidders for the
supply of the following teaching aid materials, Meteorological & Communication Equipment
which are identified in lots.

2.      The bid document can be obtained from CPO office located at Arategna Kifletor Room No. 5 during
office hours upon payment of non-refundable fee of Birr 100.00 (One Hundred), for each in addition
to the hard copy bidding document, bidders have the option to take program diskettes but they are
required to bring their own floppies for this purpose starting from Feb. 11, 2003.

3.      Bidders may bid for one complete lot by giving separate bid prices for each item and possible discount
for grouping of item, lot will be awarded individually on the most economic combination for the
purchaser, however, the purchaser reserves the right to award contracts on individual item basis.

4.      Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding document
at the office of.

5.      All bids must be accompanied by a bid security in accordance to instruction to bidders Clause 20
      (Section II) and wax-sealed bids must be received on or before bid closing date to the above office.

6.      Bids will be opened in the presence of interested bidders or their local representatives who
choose to attend at the CPO?s Conference Hall, Addis Ababa, Room No. 4.

7.      The accompanying, Instruction to bidders, this invitation for bids, General Condition of Contract
and Special Condition of Contract are part and parcels of future Contract for winning bidders
and criteria set for Evaluating the bid will be strictly followed.

8.      The Ministry of National Defense/CPO/ reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids
with out assigning any reason thereof.
