1. The Ministry of Agricultural has received a loan from African Development Fund in various currencies towards the cost of National Livestock Development Project.  It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for the procurement of goods.

5. A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the above and upon payment a non-refundable fee of Birr 100 or equivalent of USD.

6. The Provisions in the Instructions to bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the African Development Bank Standard bidding documents: Procurement of Goods.

7. Bids must be delivered to the above office2 on or before February 15, 2005 at 3:00 P.M. and must be accompanied by a security of not less than 600 USD or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency bank guarantee, certified cheques or cash. Late bids will be rejected.

8. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders or their representatives who choose to attend at 3:30 P.M. on February 15, 2005 at the office of:
