The Ethiopian Sugar Industry Support Center Sh. Co. (ESISC.) invites all interested international bidders for the supply of White Cane Sugar to be delivered in two shipments, the first lot of 20,000MT in the month of December 2006 and the second lot of 20,000MT in the month of May 2007, with ICUMSA 100-250 plus the specifications described in the tender document.
Interested international bidders may participate in this tender either directly or through their duly represented local agents.
Bidders can obtain the tender document against payment of non-refundable Birr 500 from Marketing Division, Room No. 404, Philips Building, 4th floor, during office hours from the issuance of this tender on the newspaper.
The local agent is required to present original and copy of valid license renewed for the year 1998 E.C. and copy of VAT registration certificate to purchase the tender document.
The local agent is also required to present the power of Attorney (letter of representation) from his/her principal bidder which must be authenticated by the Chamber of Commerce of the respective principal bidder?s country to participate in the bid opening on behalf of the principal bidder.
The closing date for the submission of tender documents shall be November 20, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. local time.
Bids shall be opened and read officially in the presence of bidders or their legal represeatnvies who wish to attend on the same date i.e. November 20, 2006 at 10:30 A.M. local time, in Room No. 305 (3rd Floor).
The center will not be half responsible for non-attendance of bidders or their legal represeatnvies and will further proceed opening of the bid as per the schedule.
The ESISC reserves all rights to accept or reject any or all bids or cancel the tender, which affects the interest of the company, without giving reasons thereof.
