IFB Title: Procurement of livestock (Shoats)

1. The Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia particularly Somali Regional State has received fund from UNDP toward drought response project and it intends to apply part of proceeds for procurement of livestock species (shoats).

2. The Somali Regional State Bureau of Finance and Economic Development invite sealed bids from qualified eligible bidders for the Procurement of the following Livestock species.

3. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding (NCB) and is open to all interested bidders. Bid evaluation shall be determined in accordance with the provision indicated in the bid documents.

4. Bids shall be valid for a period of ninety (90) days after bid opening and must be accompanied by bid security of not less 1% of the bid price.

5. Bids shall be submitted to the under mentioned addresses

6. Bidders are required to present official application letter, Renewed Trade License, Tax Payers Registration Certificate and VAT Registration Certificate and issued suppliers list certificate.

7. Bidders must bid for all described items in a single lot or all four lots. Partial bidding for item/items in a single lot is not considered

8. Bid must be delivered to Bureau of Finance and Economic Development on or before 3:00 P.M, after 18 calendar days from the date of announcement on The Ethiopian Herald. Late bids will be rejected.

9. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased directly from Somali Regional State, Finance and Economic Development Bureau, Finance, Logistics, Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Support Process Owner’s Block No. 3, and Tel. +251-257-753669, +251257-75 29 19, Fax +251-25 775 29 16, Jijiga; Ethiopia upon payment of a non refundable fee birr 200.00 (two hundred birr) by interested bidders on submission of a written application.

10. Somali Regional State, Finance and Economic Development Bureau, reserves the right to accept or reject any bid.
